10 Industry Secrets to make your Business Card Make you MONEYBy: Kiera Pedley Your business Card, possibly the cheapest marketing tool, in your tool kit... but are you making it pay for itself? That little piece of cardboard, is what people either chuck or keep, and you want as many people keeping it as possible. Here are some tips, for when you design your card: 1. Studies show, your customers are FAR more likely (70% more likley in fact) to pick up a colour card.... so none of this black and white business ! 2. An industry tip, rounded corners don't get dog eared in a card wallet !! 3. Use your card for offers, include a "cut off" bit for a special offer. (i.e. Buy one Get one Free) 4. Use your card as a loyalty card. 5. Put your photo on your card. Ever wonder why the real estate agents do it? They're marketing THEM.... not just the company, but them personally. 6. Make it INTERESTING.... One very successful sales person uses a coin shaped card. It get's kept, people actually REQUEST more. 7. If someone doesn't go WOW when they recieve your card, it isn't working as hard as it could. Think Colour, Foil Embossing, Scents, UV Coating.... 8. Put a customer testimonial on your card. It becomes a portable referral. 9. Design your card with your corporate image in mind. It's all part of your branding. 10. Think outside the square. You don't need to use CARDS... Although they're the cheapest, what your aiming to do, is keep your contact details within reach of your clients. Think pens, keyrings, coffee mugs, a credit card shaped bottle opener.... anything that's going to stay on their person, with YOUR details on it.
