Simple Ways to Promote Your Facebook Business Page

By Matthew Keath

Facebook can be a powerful tool. However, simply setting up your page is not enough, you need to give people a reason to visit and join. There are thousands of groups and pages that Facebook users can join, why choose yours?

1. Provide interesting and fresh content.
Try to get a response from your fans by giving them something the cannot get from any other source. This could be new products or services, specials, videos or pictures, whatever suits your business.

2. Advertise your page on Facebook.
You can have a short campaign to increase interest in the beginning. A lot of places offer free $100 vouchers to get you started and Facebook is a snap to get started. You marketing company should be able to help as well, and could possibly provide you with a voucher to get started. This can tie in perfectly with the next point.

3. Have a prize!
Everyone loves prizes. When you advertise your page at the start, mention you have a prize for one or two lucky members. Then you can give away some of our product and hopefully get a good review back on your page. You could even ask them to post a picture of them using / wearing it. If you can’t give away something because it is too expensive, why not a gift voucher, or even a free t-shirt?

4. Connect with your customers.
If you make sure you thank every person that joins your page – this helps them feel connect to you business. Posting your thank you on their wall can encourage others to join as well.  Same goes with any comments or questions. You should treat your Facebook interactions as customer service, just like in other areas of your business. Also inform all your current customers about your new page, and make sure you include it all all emails.

These are just some simple tips to help you to get started on Facebook for business. If you would like more information, you can visit the Worldwide Design and Marketing Website.
