Top Five Keys to Business Success

In my business I meet and interview a lot of successful home based business owners. I always end my interviews by asking them their five keys to success. The answers are more in common than different. Below I have listed the top five keys to success according to all the amazing business women I have interviewed so far:

Have Passion and Love What You Do: This is the number one reason according to most of these women. Passion is the key ingredient to success. You need to wake up every morning and look forward to starting your work day. You have to absolutely love what you do. You cannot fake passion. Every time you experience a setback in your business, passion is what gets you going. Passion pulls you up and pushes you forward.

Persistence: Anyone who owns a business knows of all the setbacks any business can experience. There are ups and downs. It’s during the down times that we need to be persistent. We need to keep doing the things we have to do to pull the business through. Be persistent and you will reap the rewards.

Customer Service: Look after your customers. Serve them well and they will come back to you.

Tweak The Plan: Write down your business goals / business plan. Review this periodically. Tweak it to fit it into your current situation. A written plan or a goal chart keeps you on track.

Believe In Your Self: This is the last but nevertheless a very important reason for business success. If you don’t believe in yourself then no one will. If you lack the confidence in your business then how are you going to get through the tough times? Belief in your abilities and belief in your business are very important.
