1. Tell us about your business

Address Change Services offer a complete change of address kit that is tailor made for the state you are moving to or within.

2. When and why did you start your business?

After moving 4 times in 3 years and having to change my address on each occassion, this motivated me to think that there has to be an easier way to do address change notification. So, I researched all the change of address forms that are needed when people moved and put them in a kit form. I created the web site for these kits about 18 months ago.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

I have built the business from the ground up on my own with a very small budget and have achieved page 1 presence on google for many keyword searches such as change of address kit/form/letter/checklist and many more.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

I think the biggest challenge when working solo is being \'jack of all trades\' in all aspects of the business. Another challenge is getting the word out there about your business. You may have a fantastic product; but unless people know about it and can see a benefit in it, product will not move.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Google advertising, Bing/Yahoo advertising, Facebook advertising, and Press releases.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Newspaper advertising.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

It offers a complete solution to a moving task that people find a chore to do. It's all in the Kit!

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Succesful online business such as Ozstays and Travel Insurance Direct. They are easy to use and stream lined making their web sites very user friendly.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

My future plans is to become a leading MOVING portal offering everything that is needed when moving address.
