1. Tell us about your business

We specialise in Fuel Injection work utilising the Inter-Ject "ON Vehicle Fuel System Servicing" to clean the engine as well as the injectors, and restores better performance as the engine breathes better. Economy is also improved. We have a dyno for road testing and Performance work and we are open 6 days a week, Saturday from 9.30am to 4.00pm.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Started as Blue Mountains fuel injection some 15 years ago, and we also cater to teaching other mechanics how Fuel Injection works as well as catering to our customer base.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

Providing good quality work and building good business relationships has been very rewarding and also at times challenging, but communication seems to be the key to building a good business.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Customers not knowing the process we have to go through to ensure the job's done right and at times the frustration of getting the wrong parts or not getting the parts on time. A learning curve in weeding out the inferior replacement parts.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Doing good quality work and being courteous to the customers wins repeat business

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

I'm not sure wether Newspaper based advertising is as good as it used to be.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

The freedom to provide good quality service and products. The high esteem that we seem to have amongst our peers and the ability to help each other and to share our knowledge.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

The likes of people like Dick Smith who give back to the community and contribute to other charities & causes etc.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To continue to develop and provide quality care of our customers vehicles

I believe that everything we do in our business is dependant on developing a good relationship with the people we are working with, our customers and our peers in other workshops.
