1. Tell us about your business

Bright Star Kids is a company offering a wide selction of kids labels, bag tags, wall graphics and more. They are great for children at daycare, kindy and school.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Started December 2009 and was looking for an opportunity where I could enjoy the flexibility of working from home and still being able to look after my children.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

Proving to myself that I can get the company name out there and enjoy letting everyone know what great products we have to offer.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Trying to get a lot more sales than I have been able to.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

On-line advertising. Facebook.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Leaflet drops gets a low percentage return.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Being able to work from home and work at my own pace with no hassles.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Alan Sugar and Sir Richard Branson are two great business people.
