1. Tell us about your business

Catnaps is committed to Australian manufacturing and proud of it. We have been around for over 10yrs making quality kids and adults pyjamas, nighties, t shirts and accessories.

2. When and why did you start your business?

I actually took the business over from a friend. I had bought catnaps pjs before and loved them and when she was talking about ceasing the business to spend more time with her family, I asked if I could take it on!

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

I am trying to take the business to a new level, previously it was a craft market business only. I have added a online store and now just trying to build more locyal customers.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Being a Mum of 3, my family does come first so often ideas relating to the business are added to an ongoing list but I love working through things and challenging myself.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Going online, I'm trying a few advertising campaigns currently so will see how they go.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Some of the paid advertising has not been as successful as I'd hoped.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

the quality, and I'm so proud of the fact that they are Aussie made and I want to keep it that way (no matter how many people tell me I'm mad and should head to China etc and make them at 1/4 of the cost!) I'm committed to Aussie manufacturing and I think if you make a quality product you are proud to stand behind it. I am very, very hands on!

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Jules at handle your own pr. Basically I'm seeing how hard it is to get established, win trust etc when you are a new kid on the block, so to speak

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

Keep them Aussie made, expand the adults range and keep working on kids range and getting regular return customers.
