Craft Creation Studio1. Tell us about your business Craft Creation Studio was set up to teach people how to paint, draw, sew, to do scrap booking, make greeting cards, jewellery, to knitt, to crochet and to help them feel better about themselves. 2. When and why did you start your business? About 3½ years ago. To teach people how to paint, draw, sew, to do scrap booking, make greeting cards, jewellery, to knitt, to crochet, to feel better about themselves, so they don't think they are worthless or useless. So they can have someone to talk to. 3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business? I have supported and helped my wife where I could and have tryed not to criticise her. 4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business? A very small and sometimes no money for advertising. Moving to a smaller place of business. Making do with what we have. The price of elecricity, advertising rates, petrol, council rates, LPG and insurance going up. State politicians not willing and wanting to help us and making a lot of things more difficult for us. The health of my wife. A lot of people having less money. Trying not to be stressed out by Centerlink. 5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business? Talking to people about it. 6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business? Advertising in a craft magazine. 7. Name your favourite thing about your business I can help by making some things for her. 8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you? Sydney City Mission when they try and help people that don't want to be helped. 9. What are your plans for the future of your business? To help my wife recover her health, take one day at a time and to do some more advertising. 10. Share your best business tip with our readers. One person can't do everything, Jesus was the only perfect person, don't lie to your customers, it is very bad for your business.
