1. Tell us about your business

We offer a full range of graphic design services including advertising design, logo, business stationary / identity and website template package design. Our special approach is publication design for magazines, books, catalogues, newsletters, corporate brochures, annual reports, government publications, financial document, brochures and business literature.

2. When and why did you start your business?

With years of experience as a senior graphic designer and art director for both advertising agencies and publishing houses, Jesse Dyball conceived and launched EXO Design Studio in 2000 and incorporated as EXO Design and Publishing Pty Ltd in 2004.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

Coming from a creative family background with a love for books and magazines, Jesse was destined for a career in design and publishing. The passion was set in stone with his first design studio experience in 1985 while still at high school. He later gained formal graphic design training with the Queensland Collage of Art in 1986 and an associate diploma in design and marketing with Griffith University in 1991. Jesse has held various senior positions in advertising and publishing.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

EXO was setup to provide quality niche communication services and we have now built up strong industry relationships and maintain a handful of select clients providing them specialised quality design and publishing services. Being a small studio leaves little time to grow the business.
