1. Tell us about your business

Our range of emu oil products fills a gap in the skin care industry where chemicals are incorporated into products. Our range uses the many benefits of emu oil to help relieve, revive and restore moisture and improve skin texture.

2. When and why did you start your business?

We initially started as Emu Farmers, so our beleif in emu oil and the industry is from the ground up. Our farming started in 1994, the product range in 1998.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

We are proud of our range of products and the way they have helped our range of customer with skin problems, and many other ailments.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

As a micro business, we found the attitude of larger business difficult to understand. Our results speak for themselves and we are now in business relationships that work for us and our business associates.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

The web sites of course, teaching, writing articles and the one to one cntact we have with our customers.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Paying for advertising with so called "experts" that didn't pay off.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Being able to work our own hours, but also the satisfaction of developing products that help our customers.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

People who are positive, who are willing to share their knowledge and are supportive.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

Continue to develop our product range and improve our web presence. Being seen as a specialist in our field.
