Tell us about your business We are a small team of mobile marketing consultants based in Perth, Western Australia that help growing businesses get more out of their marketing. We act as a business' own personal "marketing team", ready to spring into action when needed and providing access to all marketing needs through just one point of contact - whether its planning and strategy work (such as putting together a marketing plan or assessing a business' current marketing position) or actual implementation work (such as a website, advertisement, graphic design work, e-newsletters, etc). We allow businesses to focus on what they do best while we concentrate on maximising their marketing investment using our qualified and expert knowledge and experience. 2. When and why did you start your business? We've been in business since 2007 but officially launched full time operations in 2008. We grew tired of the high flying corporate world, preferring to work with real business owners who face real marketing challenges. 3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business? Many successful and happy clients! 4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business? The balance between concentrating on our core business - the marketing - versus all the foundation work (accounting, IT, legal, etc). 5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business? Every business is unique so I wouldn't want to discuss what works for us as others may think it will work for them. But we recommend to our clients who are also "growing businesses" like ourselves, to firstly start small and test the waters before committing further funds and to start with more cost-effective long term solutions like a website, Google Adwords, e-newsletters, and good old fashioned networking to build referrals and word of mouth. The success of individual tactics will vary dependent on the business which should be assessed by a qualified marketer. 6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business? As per above. I would also add to growing businesses' to be wary of mass advertising. Unless you have a big budget or are one of a small group of businesses who are likely to get a reasonable return from it, our experience has shown it generally doesn't pay off. 7.
