The director, secretary and project manager have 30 years experience between them. Our business has succeeded and grown off word of mouth and we rely on repeat business to continue our success. Fresco Painting and Decorating has a 100% KPI for delivering projects in full and on time. Fresco Painting and Decorating is environmentally conscientious, and strives to reduce the environmental impact of by-products within our industry by adopting work method to combat global warming.

2. When and why did you start your business?

We have been in the business for over 30 years and incorporated our company in November 2008.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

Gained recognition by Department of Commerce inspectors for high quality workmanship within New South Wales Schools. Created strong professional affiliations with multi-million dollar multi-traders who maintain contracts with Westfield Commercial Properties and Oaks Resort Apartments.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

When offered large contracts it is important to ensure cash flow continues when payments are over 90 day terms. Management of contractors within the trade industry is at times challenging. It is important that policy and procedure is followed to a T to ensure safe and efficient progress of projects.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Listing with business directories on the internet. Word of Mouth. Direct face to face sales.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Newspaper advertising. Flyers.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

The quality of workmanship. We guarantee that our customers expectations are always exceeded. By adding little things like a free feature wall in private residence, to not taking shortcuts and using quality material in commercial projects we have a 100%KPI in regard to referal due to word of mouth.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Companies like Virgin who have a fun, strong team culture and can produce a great service and product due to happy motivated staff.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

In five years we are looking to increase into the maintenance industry. This is what they term a "multi-trader" in our industry.
