1. Tell us about your business

Grace Cosmetics & Grace Designer are a 100% Australian owned company & we produce a high quality natural & botanical skin care range. Our products are made using Australian grown 100% Organic Aloe Vera which is gentle on sensitive skin, but also suitable for all skin types. We have superior anti-ageing products, including our famous Non-Surgical Facelift. Our product also includes body care, therapeutic products, mens care, fragrances & our beautiful make-up range. To enhance our attraction to our customers, we also offer a high quality range of costume jewellery. There is no limit to beauty.

2. When and why did you start your business?

I started my business because first & foremost, I am a mum. I work from home, juggling my working hours around school hours & my kids. I started my business just over 12 months ago. I am doing this for my kids.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

So far, I have achieved more than I expected with my business. I have experienced total satisfaction getting these beautiful products on people's faces. Everyone who tries my products, loves them.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Reaching new customers is hard. Getting people to try something new is even harder.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Letter box drops have been my most successful promotion to date. Internet promotion is slowly increasing coverage, but people in my area want face to face contact.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Print media was totally unsuccessful. Perhaps it was the choice of placement, but my first attempt, making a free offer, didn't generate a single response.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

I love the freedom to work at my own pace. If I want to earn money each week & are prepared to do the work, I can achieve.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

My company director, Val Fittler & his beautiful family inspire me.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

I will devote more & more time to my business when my life allows me. As mentioned, first & foremost, I am a mum, so my kids come first.
