1. Tell us about your business

I read Tarot and perform Reiki healings. I offer Tarot parties in your home and Reiki sessions in your home or business. I also offer readings as part of your function - birthday parties, Christmas functions, corporate functions.

2. When and why did you start your business?

I started my business approximately 5 years ago because I felt that I could help others with their journey through life as well as help them to heal.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

I have learnt many things on my journey with this business: We are all connected to each other and if we can assist another on their journey, we assist ourselves. There is joy in giving as well as receiving. I have also learnt to value myself as highly as I value others.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

The biggest challenge has been to put myself "out there" and to become known. I am basically a shy person and have had to learn to deal with this.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

I have found that being seen reading at fairs and markets has helped others to know what I do and what I am about. I have also found that word of mouth is very important. I have recently started promoting myself on the internet and have had mixed response to this.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

I have found that delivering "flyers" has had little to no effect.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Helping others. Meeting lots of people.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

I am inspired by those in need and in pain that still help others. I am also inspired by the likes of Fred Hollows who gave of themselves to help others.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

My plans are to grow, to become known as a person of integrity and honesty. I also plan to learn as much as I possibly can about alternative healing and become the best that I am able to be in my field.
