1. Tell us about your business

Guests Martial Arts is located in Thornbury Melbourne Victoria. We run over 40 classes each week teaching Martial Arts to Adults Teens and Children. Our programmes have won several awards for our high standard of service and quality classes.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Our school started out of a love for martial arts training and wanting to share our training with interested people.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

To see it grow from our back yard into a 7000sq ft training centre over the years has been very exciting. Watching many childrens Self Control improve not only at school but at home as a direct result of our training has also been great.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Finding great staff, but we now have solved that issue and couldn't ask for a better team.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Internet has been really usefull, Yellow Pages in the past. Word of Mouth is still number one!

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Flyer drops.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Community.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Anyone that promotes a "win/win" scenario when dealing with people has my vote.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To expand into a larger location with a full gym and gymnastics training facility.
