1. Tell us about your business

Integral Health Services supports individuals and business to create change in all areas of life and work. This is accomplished by applying the latest in mind body techniques and includes strategies and tools to over come barriers that may inhibit success and/or health issues.

2. When and why did you start your business?

I began studying toward being a mind body medicine practitioner and life coaching expert in the late 80's after working in the mental health field and noticing a gap in the area of naural alternatives, complementary medicine and preventative measures. This inspired me to seek outside the square and my journey in holistic health, wellbeing and professional and personal development began.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

Personally, it has been a journey of many challenges, firstly with educating the general public and expelling the myths that surround the area of mind body medicine and natural therapies. There is always a huge benefit to oneself as you must take yourself through the process of change and growth to become an expert in the field - simple but not always easy although incredibly rewarding. The years in business has given me the experience and knowledge to be creative in developing and authoring my own professionally accredited courses; Psych-energetics and Allergetics and support products such as The Inner Voyage and Meditation CD's from the Interactive Chakra pack.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

The challenge in the past has been communicating successfully to clients about what my business offers and relating to them in a way they can relate to it both personally and professionally. Ultimately it is in getting them in the door, as once they have experience what it is I offer, they are sold!

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Website, networking, advertising on other industry related websites, word of mouth - always the best, referals, news letters, email marketing.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Advertising on other websites - to much competition and not enough opportunity to grap readers attention.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Definatley working with clients and students the interaction and watching the process of health, personal and professional transformation.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

John Morton; founder and director of the Institute for Individual and World Peace.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To teach my courses internationally, to continue to develop self help products.

To do what you love; make sure you actions line up with your values; be around people that both support and encourage you. Stay positively focussed on take action on the area that brings in business (don't get side tracked); make sure you attend to the details as well as the bigger picture.
