JPAP Bookkeeping focuses on assisting small to medium sized businesses in Adelaide manage their bookkeeping and cashflow needs more effectively, in order for their business to grow.

2. When and why did you start your business?

The business was started to fill a void in a family members finance company. Bookkeeping by a number of that finance company's clients was substandard, so setting up JPAP Bookkeeping was the next step to helping those clients fulfill their bookkeeping requirements.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

Growing a business from nothing to something with people relying on our services.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

People enquiring about your services and then never getting back to you... Feedback is always wanted!

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

The website has been an absolute winner for generating business as has the local paper, with 3 line adverts once a month.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Physical mail outs to businesses in certain postcodes was a complete waste of time. Over 800 letters to 2 different postcodes with 1 phonecall generated but no business...

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Finding lost money for clients! Clients who are not strong in bookkeeping seem to all have a sigh of relief when their books are done correctly too. Clients are less stressed too!

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Self motivated go-getters inspire me. It\'s always about looking towards the next goal...

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

Expansion and hiring of staff to take over the workload within the next 2 years.

Promotion of your business is the best thing you could ever do... Give everything a try within reason and if it doesn't work, move on to the next thing!
