Legal Tender is a lawyer/client matching service which helps you find the right lawyer. Simply tell us about your legal problem and we’ll find a range of suitable lawyers in Victoria to bid for your work. You then choose the lawyer best suited to your needs. Best of all, it’s free.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Q: Why was Legal Tender created? A: To help clients find the right lawyer, at the right price. Legal Tender was created to help clients find the right lawyer for them and their situation. Existing legal referral services only give clients the name of a lawyer and a phone number. What the client really wants to know, however, is "How much will my case cost?" and "How good are the lawyers?" Clients using Legal Tender are armed with that information and able, for the first time in Australia, to make a truly informed choice.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

Emily Peterson, Director Emily holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in astrophysics) from Monash University. She completed her articles at top tier law firm, Arnold Bloch Leibler, and continued working there as a litigation lawyer until mid-2008.
