LOCATE ME A BOOK. ABN. 50 893 075 853. An Australian Company with experienced staff with expert knowledge of all books. We will locate .... Old, New, Rare, Out of Print, 2nd Hand and all Text Book(s). We also offer :- insurance quotes on books, current market appraisals, collection appraisals it's what ever you need!

2. When and why did you start your business?

2008 I saw a need in the markert place to help people find the infomation that they require. We have located books from all over the world for people , and the best satasfaction of all is being told , how great our service is .... This alone drives me to excell at what we can achieve.... books etc are the back bone of knowlegde.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

True, solid foundations with my customers , who are all on first name bases. I believe in old fasion service and i get excited when they are trully happy with our service.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Many problems, first my ????? ripped me of for big dollars! This put every thing on the back burner. I under took several jobs, to pay the bills and put some away again to start my dream !!! after one year I started the ball rolling, ADVERTISING was the key for me. I have been to several business courses, but they all say the same stuff. I realised I need to put my self out their, out of my comfort zone, to sink or swim. I started networking at any place I could, even droping business card at book shops, cafe's, newsagency's, send out letter box drops, even radio on the air... BUT as one man band, working still other jobs to offset my dream ... I'm still working to chance that to be full time or train staff to follow my lead. I have many more hick-up's but thats life people say, I say no its character building with learned experince. I was had to say that when they took my car as I defaulted on the loan.... thats a another story.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Quickly and simply... internet, radio, networking with peope.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Mail outs, letter box drops, adds in local papers, YELLOW PAGES.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

One day my dream will be to work from home, my own boss full time.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

I do not know, I drive myself hard, as I do not wish to fail my special need son. I put my heart and soul in to every thing i do, because i wish to trully experience life !! the big picture...

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

I have trained staff now, and the business is almost calling me to run it full time. I still work only one other job, and do all the follow ups at night so my staff are on track... sure would love a sleep in one day.

Do not trust everone with your hard erned cash. Enjoy what you do, you are more likely to be focused and excited if you love the work or hobbie, sport, you do, do not give up on ya dream, everone will talk you down and out if it....
