1. Tell us about your business

We are a registered Training Organisation committed to better learning outcomes for individuals and organisations. We offer Training in Business, Information Technology, Financial services and Training & Assessment. We have a vision of Flexibility, Support and Innovation embedded in our delivery of training programs both professional and personal development.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Mantra Training & Development was founded in July 2008, by the CEO Donna Cox.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

We have achieved enormous growth in the past year and also established our core strengths and where we need to focus to be able to continue to deliver quality programs and a quality service to our clients.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Most of the challenges are around the Owner wearing too many hats. this is normal when you start out then you need to be able to pass some of the hats around to be able to become a better business and function more effectively. When you are the bookkeeper, the trainer the cleaner the motivator and the mother, you can spread a little thin at times

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

The website, social networks and most of all word of mouth.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Newspaper, Radio and flyers

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

The passion I have for what i do. The ability to set my own agenda and deliver the quality service I would like to receive. Mostly developing a great team and watching them become independent.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Successful Business owners who share their challenges they have had. The real people who want to give you a hand up.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To become one of the best RTO\'s around Australia. To be known for providing a supportive learning environment that is focused on the learners outcome. to have the best Trainers that know the value in supporting the client.

10. Share your best business tip with our readers.

1. Do what you love and love what you do 2. Ask questions and hang out with like minded people 3. Get the right advice from the experts that are successful not the one\'s who have not succeeded but proceed to tell you how to do it. 4. Have absolute belief in yourself and your dreams 5. Find the balance 6. Listen to your instincts they are generally correct 7. Read as much as you can to become better 8. Attend the opening of an envelope, networking is a key 9. Delegate what you don\'t like to do as time is better spent on what you are good at. 10. It won\'t happen overnight but it will happen, just stick with it.
