We are a networking organization of Maori businesses or business that is focused on things Maori.

2. When and why did you start your business?

There was a demand for a central contact point here in Australia for Maori organizations from New Zealand and around the world.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

Made great contacts with local businesses but more importantly have created a profile for businesses which organizations have recognized and used to both parties advantage.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Contacting new businesses to join the network.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Business breakfasts, our new website, network events and newsletters.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Cold calling, expos.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

I enjoy being able to put the business together with the organizations that require their services.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

We have a business that has operated very successfully for 30 years. They have great stories, advice and contacts. We also have one that has been in business 3 years, has never advertised is highly successful all due to networking.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

I want to allow others to come into the business and expand to other cities.

I believe that passion plays a large part in success after a business model and realistic demand for the service.
