1. Tell us about your business

A unique private parking & valet service in a secure residential complex minutes to both the airport link train line and the airport

2. When and why did you start your business?

Business was started in 2008 when I sold my car and rented out my own tandem car space. I discovered other residents wanted to rent out their spaces but couldn't be 'bothered' with it, so I took over the renting of their spaces too.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

A sense of high initiative & entrepreneurial skill, with everyone, just everyone telling me how clever my business is!

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Being found on the internet - I run my business with minimum overheads due to the small turnover, so spending big money on more exposure is wasted funds.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Starting my own web site where I can put testimonials from my many happy customers and now offering a Sydney depot for Viva Camper Vans where I'm also listed on their website.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Some of the free business listing sites - minimum response

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Meeting people who are excited about travelling and I can be part of their 'escape' by offering a top service

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Sir Richard Branson is no doubt an inspiration - everything he touches turns to gold!

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To increase the amount of Viva Vans depoted here, push my other services, such as detailing & cleaning the long term parked cars (so many of them arrive absolutely dirty!)
