1. Tell us about your business

Performance Pilates is a boutique, personalised pilates studio situated on the Gold Coast at Mermaid Waters. Fully equipped, Air Conditioned, Fresh Spring Water provided, shower and change room, small classes by appointment only.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Started in 2007, I started the studio as I felt the need for fitness based pilates on the Gold Coast, not just "rehab" pilates. With the increasing demographic most people want to stay fit as they age while still working out safely.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

I have a wonderful balance between work and family and can't believe I didn't open the studio sooner.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Keeping up with needed hours.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Internet and word of mouth.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Letter box drop was a huge waste of time and money.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Other than the product - Pilates - I love my clients, helping them, improving them, motivationg them and enhancing their lives as well as my own.

We are looking to expand and hope to grow with the Gold Coast, as well as with our lifestyle.
