1. Tell us about your business

The Business was basically started out of frustration with the current Newcastle singles scene and the big promises and very little service supplied, we have started the business based on what singles in newcastle want, choice of how to search for singles choice of how to meet singles choice of events at reasonable prices, membership paid weekly instead of one large sum up front, we are a singles business that will actually provide what it promises.

2. When and why did you start your business?

The business is in its infancy the full web page is still to be launched and the first event is planned for mid May

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

Hopefully Karen and I will achieve some satisfaction that we have provided a service that is affordable and effective in actually supplying what we promise

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Unfortunately we probably will be initially tarnished with the same brush as the other Newcastle single sites but hopefully we can overcome that after our first event.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

We are basically operating on word of mouth and a web presence.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

None at this state.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

I guess the favourite thing will be to see the over 35's in Newcastle finally having a place to go where they can have a fun and hassle free night out and hopefully meet that special person.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

I guess Richard Branson is my inspiration in that he in most cases provides what he promises at an affordable price.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

We hope to grow beyond Newcastle but in saying that each business will be unique to a geographical area unlike the big dating sites where you have people from all over the place on one site we will have individual sites for individual areas.

10. Share your best business tip with our readers.

Most business's fail in the first 2 years and I alway remember this quote from my first business course. "A business doesn't plan to fail it fails to plan" in other words be proactive and look at the worse case scenario if it can still work have a go.
