1. Tell us about your business

It's a Free Book swapping website. A place to meet other book lovers and share reviews. Somewhere to update your bookshelf without costing the earth.

2. When and why did you start your business?

We are big readers in my family and with the GFC in full swing I wanted a way to save money but I didnt want to read less.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

I took on this project with no knowlage of websites or business. It has been a bumpy ride and I have learnt a lot about how far I can oush myself.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Due to a low budget I out sourced 90 percent of my work overseas. This needed a lot of trust and flexibility on my side but without any other choice I stuck with it.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

I have just started a PR campaign with Publicity Insider. It is a DIY PR business for people like me, with little or no budget but a bit of time to try it myself. Next im on to Twitter.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

I tried blogging but really didnt get many leads. I also tried forums but found it too hard to keep it up.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

That I provide something that does not cost the earth.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Jess from The Frank team and Google of course!

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

Book Clubs, Partnerships, ebooks, previews of new release books, author interviews.

10. Share your best business tip with our readers.

Think about PR before you even start. Get the media involved whenever you can. If you dont have a story create one. If you don't have support at home get a mentor.
