2. When and why did you start your business?

1989 - my husband began antique dealing in England while at University. Several years ago our combined love of French Antiques led us to concentrate just on French and we haven't looked back.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

A good lifestyle and lots of travel overseas.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Owning several showrooms in England - before moving back to Australia-finding good staff that you can trust is always fun!

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Our website, directories and targeted mail outs.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Some magazines have been dissappointing in the past-sometimes you have to take a chance-you must negotiate a good price to try out something new.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Being surrounded by beautiful furniture and objects and of course having to go to France!

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Sir Allan Sugar-I think he's great.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To have it running so smoothly it virtually runs itself-making more time for the important things in life-family, friends and of course more buying in France.
