1. Tell us about your business

I established WADDS Data & Electrical Services in mid 2009. Specialising in Domestic, Commercial & Industrial. Data, Phone, Structured Cabling, Each and every job is issued with a Certificate of Electrical Safety as required by Energy Safe Victoria. We strive on our quality and friendly work.

2. When and why did you start your business?

I started the business in 2009, I enjoy carrying out the work in a way that always gives the customers great impression.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

I have built many great business relationships with business owners within the construction industry which in turn has provided us all with more exposure leading to more work.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Realising everything has to be set out in one step ast a time and a robust business plan are certainly the key.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Following fundamental priciples in the quality versus price with each and every customer, giving customers more choice. Word of mouth certainly plays a big key also.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Signage on my work vehicle hasn't been as effective as i first thought it would.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Quality is with every job we do.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Klopper with how he manages the responsibilities he has at BHP Billiton.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

To expand on a National scale, but many smaller steps are in progress to make this happen.

Word of Mouth advertising is worth thousands of dollars in advertising to get the same exposure. Make one client happy and the rest will follow.
