Come in and experience Melbourne best full service car wash and enjoy our cafe, surf the net, read the paper or sit on our outdoor deck while your car is getting detailed, polished or steam cleaned. You can also bring your best friend along and wash them in our dedicated state of the art dog wash facilities. Our dog wash facilities have a range of processes, including shampoo, flea rinse, conditioner, disinfectant, soft touch rinse gun using warm water and a turbo warm dry blower that will leave your best friend barking for more!

2. When and why did you start your business?

The Water Tunnel opened in August 2009. At a young age i was passionate about cars and how good they looked cleaned. Once purchasing my own car, washing my car was as important as fuelling it.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

I have achieved my childhood dream to run my own business and more importanly, running a business that I have grown to love!

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Getting the word out there that the Water Tunnel is simply the next generation in car care! Once you have come and tried you will never look at another place to wash your car.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

Free car wash give aways, helping the local community, and having half price car wash days when I first opened.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Hard to judge, I believe any marketing stradegy you put forward, you will gain new customers

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Working in the business on a day to day basis. And more importanly seeing the faces of people when they leave with there car looking in show room condition.
