1. Tell us about your business

We are an environmentally friendly retail store at Westfield Shopping Centre Southland in Cheltenham VIC. We stock products that come under the reuse, recycle, reduce banner as well as fair trade and certfied organic products.

2. When and why did you start your business?

Doors opened on October 12th. Our passion for the environment meant that the natural progression from our on-line store was viable, so a retail store was the next step.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with of your business?

We are pleased to offer people a chance to touch and feel our products and show them the many products available to help them live a more sustainable life.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

Getting the message out to the consumers that Green isnt necessarily expensive and that the Green movement IS for all ages.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

In centre signage has been ok for now.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

Trying to get newspaper editorial

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

When people have said " We love what you are trying to do here, we wish you all the best" Its nice having customers appreciate whats on offer and the store looks great too!

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

Entreprenuers that take risks, those that believe in what they do! Sir Richard Branson's attitude of never say die is uplifting.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

Growth into our regions of Victoria at first, making sure our product line is what the consumers want and need to love a more environmentally friendly life.

Passion is a must, desire to help and having a real sense of ownership in the products and in your people.
