1. Tell us about your business

Traffic Act is a Digital & Search Marketing business that assists you with all your engagement marketing strategies; social media, SEO & SEM, (Management and training) database marketing, website project management and digital strategy.

2. When and why did you start your business?

I started this business 18 months ago after working for several years as a digital marketer.

3. On a personal level, what have you achieved with your business?

We have successfully improved the Adwords performance of all of our clients, we have managed several web redesigns that are now ready for SEO. We have also written many SEO audit reports for clients to assist them in making important SEO changes to their sites, and Traffic Act have many happy clients who have attended our SEO and Google Adwords workshops.

4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in growing your business?

The biggest challenge is to get started and get the first few clients. Everything gets better after that.

5. What activities have been successful in promoting your business?

We write several articles and blog entries, which return a fair amount of interest. Also, we are part of a business networking group which is a very useful thing to do.

6. What activities were less successful for marketing your business?

We once attended a outdoor fair to distribute flyers about our business. That was a hopeless task as people were there to have fun and not to hear about digital marketing.

7. Name your favourite thing about your business

Its DIGITAL and we love everything digital.

8. Who or what other businesses or business people inspire you?

People that combine having their own business with having a good life in general, it's about the balance.

9. What are your plans for the future of your business?

Getting digital and search strategies on track for medium to small business and develop a client base that are happy with what we achieved for them.

Don't spend too much time on your admin and behind the scenes stuff. Put your time in making money instead.
