Burn out Rife in Fitness, Health & Wellness IndustriesNew research has shown that one out of two Yoga & Pilates Instructors & Personal Trainers are experiencing physical and emotional burnout. With over 70% of these Fitness & Health Professionals running their own businesses, the Zen-like state associated with these industries is under threat. Making the issue more worrying, over half of the participants have not sought professional help. Meanwhile, 50% said they weren’t being paid what they thought they would in their chosen profession. This growing problem has become the “elephant in the room” for the Fitness, Health & Wellness Industries and poses unique challenges. According to Wellness Industry Business Strategist, Kylie Saunder, this research should be a wake-up call to the thousands of people working in the Yoga, Pilates, Fitness and Wellness professions in Australia. "It’s no secret that many people enter these professions in search of a more balanced lifestyle and to connect with and help people improve their health and wellbeing,” Ms Saunder said. “However, the reality is often very different with long hours, little financial reward for their efforts and the constant battles associated with running a small business in a competitive environment.” “Burn out is usually associated with corporate types who work in offices. However, the physical and emotional stress these professionals are facing is comparable to the stresses facing their clients.” Visit us at: Business Wellbeing About Business Wellbeing Paid Advertisements Below
