Busy mums in search of "What's for dinner, organised kids and MORE me time"!

A recent Galaxy Research poll surveying 1269 mums for The Sunday Mail showed nearly two thirds of the mothers surveyed were in full- or part-time employment on top of their home responsibilities and some 22 per cent felt pressured to be a superwoman who had it all – career and motherhood.

According to the three Brisbane Business Women behind The Art of Stress Free Living, Australia and New Zealand’s first accredited Expert Professional Organiser Narelle Todd from Successful Living, Accomplished Professional Organiser, Helen Butler from Clutter Rescue and Home Economist and Professional Organiser Louise D’Allura from Revamp Professional Organisers Pty Ltd "This survey showed what we all know - busy mums are the most overworked group of women - but funnily enough are still a happy bunch! The survey showed more than half craved more "me time", which rated just above needing more help around the house and money to spend on themselves."

The team from The Art of Stress Free Living aim to help busy women stop the struggle to juggle all the people and responsibilities in their life.

Helen Butler is one Mumpreneur who knows this all too well. As a partner in The Art of Stress Free Living and Director of two companies, Clutter Rescue and Organise your Site, Helen loves her busy life. "The truth is that getting and being organised at home is HARD! It’s one of the truths that rarely makes it into the parenting books – the truth that it can be exhausting to run a home, go to work, get the kids to school on time, participate in after school activities, solve the what’s for dinner challenge EVERY NIGHT, enjoy your relationship with your partner, AND find time for yourself."

"Add to that the growing trend of women setting up business from home, the fastest growing sector of the Australian economy. 46% of women run their businesses from home – a 20% increase in the last five years, which means mum just never escapes!" said Ms Butler.

So what does this mean for mums?

"There are easy ways to bring sanity back into your life with easy to implement techniques that will see you winning the battle to organise yourself, your home, your children, your meals and even your partner" said Ms Butler.
This ex-teacher has a good idea of some of the mistakes busy working mums make.

"The number one mistake working mum’s make is doing too much themselves. We need to ask for help, whether that’s at home or work, to support what we want for our family. As women we really do try to do too much, and rob our families of opportunities to teach invaluable life skills that you can pass onto your children."

Another tip Ms Butler recommends is for all mum’s to create a sanctuary in their home for them to go to and recharge.

"The purpose of the sanctuary is to nurture you, as a woman, to support you and your goals. Mum’s are constantly supporting other people’s goals – their partners, children, friends – but by having a sanctuary you are saying to the people that you love you that you need to nurture yourself."

Coming from a range of backgrounds and experiences, The Art of Stress Free Living Team, Helen, Narelle and Louise, are delivering a one day workshop aptly titled "The Art of Stress Free Living" specifically for busy mums. You could go out and read a whole bunch of books on how to manage your time or how to organise your house, family or schedule but, going to their one day workshop might be a whole lot easier! Brisbane – 17 July 2010, 9am – 5pm – visit www.TheArtOfStressFreeLiving.com for more information.

Here are their top tips to feel amazing again:

Narelle Todd – The Head Coach
Getting a stress-free schedule that works for you and your family is key - plan your work and then work the plan. Learn the tricks to streamlining your ‘To-Do’ list and jobs around the house so you get more done in less time.

Louise D’Allura – The Home Economist
If you really want to solve the ‘What’s for Dinner’ Challenge, it’s time to stop fighting who you are and find your own recipe for order in the kitchen and your meals! It’s about Menu Planning Your Way – not anyone elses! Getting organised for healthy eating can save time, money and stress worrying about what you’re feeding your family! (Louise helped one family save $1200 a year just by getting their pantry organised!)

Helen Butler – The Mumpreneur
Create Your Own Home Sanctuary! Your sanctuary is a space where you can reconnect with yourself and what you would like to be, do and have in the future. It supports you in your goals, keeps you moving forward and helps you replenish your energy. This is so important for a busy mum.
