Uncovering The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Small Business WebsitesSmall business owners offered chance to win over $1250 in prizes by sharing their website woes. Meet any small business owner in Australia, and it’s likely they have a horror story to share about when they built their website. From blown budgets to wonky web design, anecdotal evidence points to an epidemic amongst small business owners spending time and money on ‘first edition’ websites that don’t meet their expectations. In a bid to formally gather these anecdotes into empirical evidence, Grassroots Internet Strategy is calling all small business owners to complete a brief, five-minute online survey at http://www.grassrootsinternetstrategy.com.au/resources/take-a-brief-survey-win-big/ The survey aims to identify common trends and issues that business owners face in regards to website development and marketing. For participating, respondents will go into the draw to win over $1250 worth of small business prizes, including an Online Marketing Accelerator Pack that offers:
“Why should hardworking, well-meaning business owners suffer because they received bad or incomplete advice about what is required to establish and maintain an effective web presence? Our aim is to raise awareness of the common website issues, so that business owners can avoid them”, says Serena Star Leonard of Grassroots Internet Strategy. Star Leonard and business partner Melinda Samson know a thing or two about websites, having worked with hundreds of business owners to improve the results of their businesses, websites and online activities. Together they are on a mission: “to demystify the World Wide Web and its associated disease, Crap Websitis,” laughs Star Leonard. For all the humour, both are deadly serious about helping business owners get a return from their web investment. “By responding to this short survey, business owners can contribute valuable data that will in turn help other business owners avoid costly mistakes. Results will be made freely-available and will serve as a useful guide to any small business about to embark on building a web presence,” said Star Leonard.
