Fiji's national carrier, Air Pacific will add a new Monday flight to Hong Kong in December 2010. Starting 13 December we will fly to the Asian gateway city three times per week. Flight FJ391 will depart Nadi, Fiji every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8.35am, arriving into Hong Kong at 1.50pm. FJ392 will return from Hong Kong at 3.50pm arriving back into Fiji at 6.50am Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings.

Air Pacific will continue to operate its Boeing 767-300ER on the Hong Kong route, offering a full service product with 18 Tabua (Business) class seats and 229 Pacific Voyage (Economy) class seats for the flights to Fiji. "During our recent trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai with the Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, we heard from our customers and business partners that they wanted more flights and more options to satisfy rising demand to visit Fiji. As a result, we are pleased to be able to add a third flight on the first anniversary of our services to this great Asian hub," said Dave Pflieger, Managing Director and CEO of Air Pacific.

"We're excited about the new growth opportunities that this additional service presents. We have received strong support from the Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Minister of Civil Aviation, Tourism Fiji, our Fiji tourism industry partners, the travel agency community in Fiji, and customers in Hong Kong, China, India, UK and Europe, and we look forward to our continued partnership and mutual success on this great gateway route."

"This third service will also make travel much more convenient for our Cathay Pacific codeshare passengers and others who are travelling to Fiji from China, India, the Middle East and Europe. In addition, Fiji rugby supporters can now plan to attend the Hong Kong Sevens tournament in March 2011 with the convenience of three direct services."

Mr Pflieger added that "I've heard loud and clear via emails and meetings with customer and business partners what we need to do - rest assured that our strategic review of Air Pacific and Pacific Sun will result in more changes and service enhancements in the coming months."
